Please bring a copy of the story to class and be prepared to turn in a one paragraph of the story along with why you think it important. You will have the option to present the story to the class. Assignment 2: Civilization Creation
This week you will be working in groups to create a civilization of your own. Your group will be turning a two page report in which you are telling a tourist (Mrs. Winslow and the yearbook staff) what they will see, do and experience in your civilization. You will also be required to turn in a visual of what your civilization looks like. Please be sure to have all of 10 of the given criteria included. This will be due Friday September 2nd. (50 points)

For the next two weeks you are going to carefully read the Epic of Gilgamesh. You will be required to write a three page report that displays the depth of your understanding of the content based on the following questions:
