Annotated Bibliography: December 21st, 2016
This part of the project is all about the research resources you have found. You need to document no more than five resources with a paragraph for each. The style of documentation is Chicago Style and the paragraph needs to tell what information you found and how you will be using it in your timeline. You can find help for the documentation style on Purdue Owl. Hot-linked at the bottom of this page.
Abstract: January 6th, 2017
You will need to write a one paragraph summary what you are going to be looking at within your search topic and how you are going to accomplish it. Remember to use the research questions that you wrote in your field journals during class. Also remember that you may come in during Grizzly Opts to gain more one on one help. Tuesdays are set aside for U.S. History students to have priority. You do need to type your summary if possible using Times New Roman, 12 point font, with 1" margins and double spaced.

Chronology and Timelines: January 13, 2017
For the pieces of this project you will need to present your facts in two forms, which will displayed and explained in detail in class. The first is a chronology or detailed list of the events within your given topic. This will be displayed in class on Friday January 13th, 2017. The second a timeline in which you display with words, pictures and details at least ten events from your chronology.
Project #2: Historical Narrative
This quarter we will be looking at an era of extreme growth and change is the history of the United States, 1900-1950. Due to the nature of this time period, there are many nameless and named people that are involved in a variety of events and movements. You will have the opportunity to research and retell the one of these stories. If you chose to do a person whose name and life we know about you will write a narrative in your own words about their life. If you chose to do a nameless person you will have the opportunity to create a fictional character of whose life and story you will write about. The key is that you will need to use at least 5 historical sources to support your story. You will also be providing a bibliography with the story to document your use of them. Also whether this is a non-fiction or fiction story, you are writing literature so please be prepared to write more than one draft.
Remember that you can use Purdue Owl: Chicago Style Guide to help.
